The school year starts in September and is usually organised into 3 terms with a 1 week holiday halfway through the term.
Pupils spend 190 days (38 weeks) in school each year. 5 extra days are reserved for training teachers and support staff. Every school sets its own training dates and will tell parents if the school is closed to pupils.

Half term: Monday 27th October 2025 to Friday 31st October 2025
Term ends: Friday 19th December 2025
Spring term 2026
Term starts: Monday 5th January 2026
Half term: Monday 16th February 2026 to Friday 20th February 2026

Summer term 2026
Term starts: Monday 20th April 2026
Half term: Monday 25th May 2026 to Friday 29th May 2026
Term ends: Friday 17th July 2026
